You can feel the force of the bodyslams as they shake the ring or the wince-inducing echo of a well-placed chop as it reverberates around the arena. Soon enough, the larger-than-life characters will have you cheering and booing on the edge of your seat as you're swept up in all the pageantry and drama.
It’s an unmatched sports experience, and you can find it all right here in DFW! Read on to discover some of the best local pro wrestling promotions taking the Metroplex by storm. It’s the best way to dropkick those boring weekend plans and tag in an exciting night of in-ring action!

Pro Wrestling Dallas is a conglomerate of different wrestling promotions from around the area, primarily DFW All-Pro Wrestling and its accompanying training school alongside VIP Wrestling. There are regular events each month, whether they be showcases of talented wrestlers from the area through All-Pro or an event infused with talent brought in from across the globe through VIP. Either way, you’re guaranteed great wrestling right here in the city on a regular basis.
Based in Bedford and running for a decade and a half, Metroplex offers weekly quality wrestling shows. The promotion runs a wide variety of events, whether it be their three-week Fight. Win. Survive. Tournament featuring 4 teams composed from a field of 24 wrestlers or co-promotions with internationally renowned superstar Sami Callihan’s Wrestling Revolver shows.
GWF may sound familiar to longtime DFW wrestling fans as the promotion once made an impact in the area in the early 90s. After the name was revitalized in 2015, the company hosts regular events as part of the Pro Wrestling Dallas umbrella.
Jayden's Toys and the Dallas Pro Wrestling Store bring this Friday night wrestling series to Carrollton! Each week, this recently created promotion brings together top local talent for a full card of in-ring action for just $20 per adult, with kids 13-and-under entering for free with an adult. Keep an eye out for special guest stars like WCW great Buff Bagwell as well.
With a hard-hitting style, this “fiercely independent" promotion in Fort Worth is heading towards its third-year anniversary. Mat War Pro often features matches that fit exactly what its name suggests, offering stipulations and tournaments like the Hell’s Half-Acre Tournament, centered around a 21-man battle royale, as well as steel cage and no DQ action.
If you’re looking for the high-flying spectacle of lucha libre, look no further than Martinez Entertainment. The promotion regularly brings in some of the top lucha libre talent in the entire world, including the likes of legendary luchadores like Psycho Clown, Ultimo Guerrero, Laredo Kid and many more.
Texas Style Wrestling broadcasts its shows through CW 33 in the Dallas area. As a member organization in NWA Texas, the promotion regularly features NWA stars at its Forney-based TV tapings. There's also the chance to see some unique co-promotions, like a combo Kiss tribute concert and pro wrestling event.
Drive up north to Sherman and Ardmore to catch this exciting wrestling promotion. Created back in 2012, Texoma Pro Wrestling regularly offers packed cards of top local talent. They also present plenty of special guest stars like Luke Gallows, D'Lo Brown and even regular appearances from Dragon Ball voice actors.
Based out of White Settlement, Trinity Championship Wrestling is billed as the "Modern Classic of Pro Wrestling." The company brings frequent shows to the local rec center starring up-and-coming local talents.
With regular shows south of Dallas in Cleburne and Keene, Advanced Pro Wrestling has become a monthly mainstay for local wrestling fans. The promotion hosts a wide range of shows each year, with general admission often starting at just $12.
Dragonslayer has been bringing some jam-packed cards to DFW for the past year. The promotion is partnered with DFW All-Pro Wrestling, the training academy under the Pro Wrestling Dallas umbrella. Catch frequent Fort Worth shows out of the Ridglea Theater to enjoy an action-packed evening of fights.
