WHERE OUR EVENTS COME FROM
The events on Do214 come from a number of places. We pull shows from band, venue & ticketing websites and search high & low across the internet looking for unique Dallas events. AWESOME FACT: You, as our users, can also help us add events to the site by emailing your event to our
Content Manager. We'll take care of the rest, and VOILA...it'll be up and running!
HOW DO I EDIT MY PROFILE?
1. Log in To Do214
2. Click on your user icon
3. Under your name, click “Edit Your Profile”
4. From there, you'll be able to customize every aspect of your profile
5. Link your Facebook & Spotify accounts to automatically follow all your favorite bands
Pro Tip: Make sure your email is always up to date! That way you'll know when you win dope stuff & hear about new shows first.
HOW ARE EVENTS RANKED?
Rankings are based on the number of people recommending an event, combined with the recommendations from our Do214 Tastemakers (bloggers, local media and socialites.) You can vote for any event by clicking the Plus Sign next to any event which also adds the event to your own personal Do214 Calendar. Voting adds these events to your personally created calendar and increases their rankings!
RSVP’S
There are some events that money can't buy, you just have to be on The List. Each week we offer free/discounted admission, exclusive bar deals and other goodies at some of Dallas's top events. If you see an event with an RSVP offer click it for IMMEDIATE access to the opportunity attached.
The Skinny On RSVP’s
When you RSVP to an event, the name you enter in the pop-up RSVP form will be the one that is on the list at the event. RSVP's do not include a guest unless noted, so share the link with your pals so they can get on the list as well!
You will receive a confirmation email if your RSVP is successful. If you arrive at a venue and there is any difficulty, please have this confirmation email handy on your phone or printed out.
How to be a rad RSVP'er!
- Let them know you RSVP'd through Do214. All of the venues we work with are aware of our lists.
- Be patient if there is a large list or multiple lists at the venue. Door folks have to deal with a lot of crazy sometimes, please don't add to it.
- Have your confirmation email handy in case there are any questions.
- Know the age limit for the event and BRING YOUR ID.
GIVEAWAYS
Giveaways for tickets and other prizes are done daily and randomly by Do214 giveaway elves. Most winners are contacted 72 hours before the event, but that often varies depending on size of event, winner cancellations and additional prize releases. Giveaways are almost never closed because of this fact.
We highly recommend if you have your heart set on going to an event that you've entered to win tickets for, BUY A TICKET. If you end up winning, give your tickets to a friend.
If You Win
You will receive an email notification no earlier than a week before the show and later than 24 hours before the show.
Please reply to the post or email confirming your attendance/telling us how awesome we are (preferably the latter). That way, we know you're coming!
Tips to Enhance Your Chances of Winning and Being an Awesome Winner
- Make sure the email on your account is valid so we can contact you when you win.
- Keep a full up-to-date profile with regular pics.
- Only enter contests for events you know you can/want to attend.
- Do not enter contests for other people; our giveaways are non-transferrable.
- Again, if you REALLY want to go to the event, buy a ticket! If you end up winning, give your ticket to a friend. Maybe later on they'll help you out, like when you're moving or need to lift something heavy. YAY FRIENDS!
